So what is so important about being a cook? Compared to the other guilds, being a culinarian doesnt seem to have much use. Well that couldn't be further from the truth. The cooks of Vana' diel make food and drink perfect for the adventurers, many say they have special magic. You drink this and your strength goes up, you eat that and it cures poison. Well we can not get into all that now but let it be known culinarians are important to the war against the beasts!

Leather has been used through out history to cloth and protect the people of Vana'diel. Many jobs use leather armor instead of iron because of the flexability of the material. As a tanner you will be able to synthesize many items with the help of the blacksmith, goldsmith, and weaver skills. As many of the other guilds, tanning is not a inexpensive job but in time you will be able to atleast break even and help the war effort.

These are much like our blacksmiths except they work with precious metals and stones. Unlike many of the other crafts, this one does not need other skills to be a great crafter. Because of the cost of materials this profession is not for the poor adventurer. Make sure you have the FF11 Gil to back up your skill before embarking on training.

Weaver. have a very important role to play in Vana'diel. Many of the other skills could not function with out the weaver, beside the mages would get cold. Because of this getting started in weaving is cheaper then the rest. Goldsmithing is a must for the well rounded weaver, carpentry is also used from time to time.
